About this campaign

Last November, Greater Victoria collected 4030 shoebox gifts to be shipped to the Ukraine, Philippines, Cape Verde, Senegal, Gambia, Guinea Bissau, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and El Salvador. PRAY that children who receive a shoebox will choose to follow Jesus.

In 2025, God led us in a spectacular way! Our recycle-to-disciple account reached $8074.90 sponsoring 1009 children to attend THE GREATEST JOURNEY after receiving a shoebox. On average, every 24 hours, more than 15,000 children enroll in the 12-lesson discipleship program.

When I'm able, I love to collect bottles and cans around my neighbourhood and cash them in to disciple children after they receive a shoebox. Please accept this donation with my prayers for the children.

We're excited to see eight partners dropping off refundable containers in January, to various Return-It Bottle Depots around Victoria, and crediting their refunds to our Operation Christmas Child account. Children receiving shoebox gifts and participating in The Greatest Journey classes will be able to have their own workbooks ... and teachers will have adequate resources. THANK YOU for your partnership in sending the Gospel to some of the hardest-to-reach places on earth!

The Greatest Journey is an exciting evangelism and discipleship program that teaches children how to become faithful followers of Christ and to share their faith with others. We offer the program to children who have received Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes. Boys and girls who complete The Greatest Journey course receive graduation certificates and New Testaments in their own language. We're able to provide all the study materials, a graduation certificate and New Testament for only $8 per child.
