It costs $8 to send a child on The Greatest Journey. A gift of $240 covers a classroom.

Local volunteers from around the world teach millions of Operation Christmas Child shoebox recipients each year through The Greatest Journey discipleship program. Samaritan’s Purse has trained over 1.9 million of these teachers to walk alongside boys and girls through 12 child-friendly lessons that present the Gospel and encourage them to share Jesus Christ with family and friends. Your gift allows instructors to give children resources they would otherwise not have, including a colorful student workbook, a graduation certificate, and a New Testament in their language, which is often the first copy of God’s Word ever owned by their family.

The Greatest Journey is an exciting evangelism and discipleship program that teaches children how to become faithful followers of Christ and to share their faith with others. We offer the program to children who have received Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes. Boys and girls who complete The Greatest Journey course receive graduation certificates and New Testaments in their own language. We're able to provide all the study materials, a graduation certificate and New Testament for only $8 per child.
